Malaysia-China TVET Cooperation Reaches New Milestone!

The Malaysia-China Institute (MCI), in collaboration with NEOLIX from China, has reached a preliminary agreement that promises a major transformation in the development of TVET talent in Malaysia. This agreement, which also involves collaboration from BELIA MAHIR and TANG International Education Group, focuses on skill development in the autonomous vehicle sector, particularly within the logistics, retail, and modern agriculture industries.

This preliminary agreement was announced at a ceremony led by YB Manndzri Hj Nasib, Chairman of RISDA and Chairman of MCI. YB Manndzri emphasized the importance of international collaboration in accelerating the adoption of advanced technology in Malaysia, as well as the potential offered by autonomous vehicles in enhancing efficiency and safety in the involved sectors.

NEOLIX, based in China, is a leader in the manufacturing and innovation of autonomous vehicles. The company has introduced various fully automated vehicles used in many countries for diverse applications including goods delivery, mobile retail services, and applications in the agriculture sector. The preliminary agreement with NEOLIX provides a platform for Malaysian TVET talent to learn and integrate the latest technology in autonomous vehicles, giving them a competitive edge in the global market.

This strategic collaboration is not just about technology transfer, but also about building capacity and skills among Malaysian youth, strengthening the country’s position as a major player in automation technology, and opening new opportunities in a growing industry. This initiative is expected to spark new innovations and drive economic growth in Malaysia, as well as strengthen the network between Malaysia and China in vocational education and training.
